Enrichment Days at The Chase
At The Chase, we offer three Enrichment Days each academic year, designed to give students experiences beyond the classroom. These days are an important part of our curriculum, helping to build cultural capital, encourage personal development, and provide opportunities students may not encounter in regular lessons.
On each Enrichment Day, all students and staff step away from their normal timetable to take part in a variety of alternative activities - both on and off site.
Spring Term Enrichment Day
During the Spring Term, students in Years 7, 9, and 10 typically take part in school trips, offering enriching educational experiences in different environments. The remaining year groups stay on site and engage in a specially planned alternative curriculum focused on personal growth, creativity, and practical life skills.
Summer Term Enrichment Day
In the Summer Term, a similar format is followed. A highlight of this term is the Anglesey Outdoor Education Residential for Year 8, offering students the chance to challenge themselves and develop teamwork skills in a unique outdoor setting. Additional trips and activities are also arranged for students across Key Stage 3.
In-School Activities
A wide range of engaging activities are delivered on-site during Enrichment Days. Examples of these include:
To aid the delivery of these sessions outside agencies are often invited in to give students a variety to their learning experiences.
These experiences are carefully planned to support student aspirations, foster independence, and enhance their educational journey.
