Teacher of Psychology

Salary: Mainscale to UPS £31,650 - £49,084 pa pro rata

Hours: Part Time 0.8 fte

Contract: Permanent

Required: From 1st September 2025

The Chase is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to teach Psychology at KS5 and ability to teach another subject as well would be desirable. We welcome applications from experienced candidates and NQTs.This position is part time but full time may be considered.

Design & Technology Technician (Workshop)

Salary: Scale 3 (scale points 5-6) £18,502.72 to £18,796.04 per annum

Hours: 32 hours per week

Contract: Term Time Only + 1 TE day, Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity at The Chase for a suitably qualified individual to contribute to our Design & Technology department as a Technician (Workshop). The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team.

You will be responsible for leading aspects of the maintenance of all machinery, equipment and tools, to maintain materials and carry out safety checks on a daily basis. You will also be expected to prepare resources for lessons and clear away after lessons. Providing technical advice to teachers and pupils relating to the operation of machinery and use of hand tools with assisting in practical lessons and carry out demonstrations. You will be expected to re-grind and sharpen tools when required, construct simple equipment, models and teaching aids and all duties to be carried out in compliance with our Health & Safety policy and procedures.

In addition, you will also be expected to maintain the school’s minibus fleet, organise, record and monitor minibus driver permits and coordinate the booking system. Provide a key cutting service and assist with general site repairs as and when required.

You must be NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent and have full working experience/knowledge of relevant policies and codes of practice of the relevant legislation, including knowledge of COSHH. The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Design & Technology Technician (Food & Textiles)

Salary: Scale 2 (Pts 3-4) £6,724.96 - £6,830.47 per annum

Hours: Part Time 12 hours per week

Contract: Term Time Only + 1 TE day, Permanent

Required: As soon as possible

We have an exciting opportunity at The Chase for a suitably individual to contribute under the supervision of teaching staff, in assisting with practical support to our teaching and learning in the Food, Textiles & Art curriculum of our Design & Technology and Art departments. This successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team.

You will be responsible for supporting our teaching staff and pupils with practical tasks, preparing/checking the equipment and resources for lessons, checking stock levels and purchasing small items as directed by the department. You will also be required to maintain health and safety standards and to undertake some administrative tasks.

You must be NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or experience in this discipline and knowledge of Health and Safety issues, particularly COSHH. Food hygiene for catering and DATA trained or equivalent is desirable.

Exam Invigilators

Contract: Casual (as and when required)

Salary: Hourly rate of £13.27 an hour

This vacancy is open throughout the Academic Year 2024/25

The Chase is looking for suitably qualified and dedicated Exam Invigilators to be part of a team to provide support for the Examination Office. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of external and internal examinations to ensure the students have the best possible conditions in which to meet the requirements of the examination boards during each examination series. 

You will be required during the Exam seasons. 

Duties include:

  • To support the security of the examination rooms, exam papers, scripts and materials;
  • Dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures;
  • Checking attendance during examinations and communicate with Examination Office as needed;
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination.
