Teacher of Art

Salary: Mainscale / UPS £31,650 - £49,084 pa pro rata

Hours: Part Time 0.6 fte

Contract: Permanent

Required: From 1st September 2025

The Chase is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate individual to teach Art and Design across the Key Stages 3 and 4, and Photography at GCSE from 1st September 2025. Our Art Department teaches a variety of disciplines including painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture. This role is for 0.6 but we can be flexible for the right candidate.

You will be joining a very successful and supportive department, both KS3 and KS4 examination results are significantly above national expectations in terms of both progress and attainment.

Faculty Leader of Science with Subject Leadership of Chemistry

Salary: Mainscale / UPS £31,650 - £49,084 pa + TLR1C

Hours: Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and highly skilled teacher to join our school to lead the Science Faculty.

You shall be joining a very successful and supportive department. All three Sciences continue to be popular choices at KS5. A background in Chemistry would be an advantage.

You will have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum and curriculum design to ensure that core powerful knowledge is embedded and developed across all Key Stages. You will be able to lead by example to promote high quality classroom practice and you will have the interpersonal skills to influence and develop colleagues within the faculty to deliver high quality teaching for every student.

Apprentice IT Technician

Salary: £11,778 per annum

Hours: 30 per week - Monday to Thursday 9am to 4 pm (with 30 mins lunch) and Friday 9am to 1pm, All Year Round

Duration of Apprenticeship: 18-22 months

We are looking for a tech savvy person to join our friendly and supportive IT team as an Apprentice IT Technician. You will have the opportunity to work as part of the IT team and support with a variety for technical tasks as well as helping the school develop their IT Infrastructure.

As an apprentice IT Technician your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Commissioning and setting up new end point devices onto the school network, (PC’s, Laptops, Chromebooks, Mobile devices, IP Telephones, Printers, CCTV etc)

• Resolving issues with Audio visual Installations

• Networking/Wifi - hardware installation and configuration

• Working with colleagues to resolve problems

• Operating within the IT Support ticket system to assist Staff, Students and Parents

• Problem solving and Troubleshooting using external resources e.g the internet

• Investigating new technologies and providing suggestions as to their use in the business

• Disposing of the hardware according to the company’s hardware disposal policy (WEEE).

• Interpret and follow IT legislation to work productively, securely, and professionally in the work environment

• To carry out any other duties as reasonably required commensurate with the nature of the job and level of responsibility

• To be aware and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.

• To work within the Professional Review/Performance Management process of the school, to evaluate performance and take full advantage of the training and development available.

• To contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.

• To recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.

Exam Invigilators

Contract: Casual (as and when required)

Salary: Hourly rate of £13.27 an hour

This vacancy is open throughout the Academic Year 2024/25

The Chase is looking for suitably qualified and dedicated Exam Invigilators to be part of a team to provide support for the Examination Office. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of external and internal examinations to ensure the students have the best possible conditions in which to meet the requirements of the examination boards during each examination series. 

You will be required during the Exam seasons. 

Duties include:

  • To support the security of the examination rooms, exam papers, scripts and materials;
  • Dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures;
  • Checking attendance during examinations and communicate with Examination Office as needed;
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination.
