Attendance Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only + 1 TE Day

Salary: Grade 5  (SCP 12-17)

Actual Salary: £22,621 - £24,539 per annum

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic and enthusiastic Attendance Officer. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting students and parents in promoting a positive culture around attendance and punctuality. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated team playing a key role in the continual development of monitoring and tracking student attendance.

You will be expected to:

  • Provide advice, support and guidance to parents, students and staff
  • To recognise the needs of the individual student 
  • Form strong relationships with parents, students and colleagues
  • To recognise the needs of the individual student and to liaise with internal and external agencies to support the needs of students on the school roll in their attendance and education
  • To be able to implement a systematic approach to gathering and analysing attendance related data
  • To oversee the school's attendance procedures, ensuring that official registers are accurately maintained, and attendance trends are monitored and to reduce any levels of unauthorised absence which reflect the policies and values of The Chase.

You will be work with integrity and display sound judgement, respecting confidentiality at all times and must possess the confidence to work with young people, as well as parents. This role will also involve home visits.

Teacher of Psychology

Salary: Mainscale to UPS £31,650 - £49,084 pa pro rata

Hours: Part Time 0.8 fte

Contract: Permanent

Required: From 1st September 2025

The Chase is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to teach Psychology at KS5 and ability to teach another subject as well would be desirable. We welcome applications from experienced candidates and NQTs.This position is part time but full time may be considered.

Exam Invigilators

Contract: Casual (as and when required)

Salary: Hourly rate of £13.27 an hour

This vacancy is open throughout the Academic Year 2024/25

The Chase is looking for suitably qualified and dedicated Exam Invigilators to be part of a team to provide support for the Examination Office. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of external and internal examinations to ensure the students have the best possible conditions in which to meet the requirements of the examination boards during each examination series. 

You will be required during the Exam seasons. 

Duties include:

  • To support the security of the examination rooms, exam papers, scripts and materials;
  • Dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures;
  • Checking attendance during examinations and communicate with Examination Office as needed;
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination.
